Circle has announced a major expansion of its stablecoin utility into mainstream corporate finance through a strategic partnership with Tereina, a financial services company backed by German enterprise software giant SAP. The collaboration is designed to embed Circle’s flagship digital currencies, USDC and EURC, directly into standard enterprise payment workflows, marking a substantial step forward in the institutional adoption of blockchain-based settlement tools.
Under the terms of the integration, businesses that rely on SAP’s widely used financial software suites will gain the ability to seamlessly send and receive USDC and EURC within the exact same applications they already utilize on a daily basis to manage corporate payments, liquidity, and accounting. Within this operational framework, USDC will serve as the preferred and primary stablecoin for managing dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will be deployed to facilitate euro-denominated payments across various corporate divisions and supply chains.

Tereina specializes in providing sophisticated payment infrastructure that companies can embed directly into their existing business software. This capability allows corporate treasury and finance departments to execute cross-border and domestic transactions without the friction of switching to a separate, standalone financial platform or legacy banking portal. According to announcements from both companies, Tereina and Circle intend to roll out a targeted pilot program over the coming months, testing the stablecoin integration with select enterprise customers. These initial testing phases will focus heavily on critical corporate use cases, including global vendor payouts, partner settlements, and day-to-day treasury operations.
The potential scale of this integration is underscored by the sheer size of the underlying software ecosystem. SAP’s enterprise software infrastructure generates an estimated 84 percent of global commerce, according to the official partnership announcement. By embedding digital asset rails directly into a software environment that underpins the vast majority of international trade and corporate resource planning, the collaboration gives stablecoins an exceptionally broad enterprise reach that bypasses many traditional barriers to entry.
This enterprise-focused development arrives less than a month after Circle launched the mainnet of Arc, its dedicated layer-1 blockchain engineered specifically for institutional stablecoin payments and modern financial markets. The Arc network utilizes USDC for its underlying transaction fees and provides native support for more than 20 distinct fiat-backed stablecoins, reinforcing Circle’s broader strategy to position its assets as foundational settlement layers for the global digital economy. As financial institutions and multinational corporations continue to seek out faster, more transparent, and more cost-effective methods for moving capital across borders, the integration of regulated stablecoins into entrenched enterprise resource planning systems represents a pivotal evolution in how modern businesses manage liquidity.
